godSis! The Stage Play

The Stage Play follows six Black women who forged an unbreakable sisterhood during their college years, guided by the wisdom of a mentor they lovingly call their "godmother." Their annual tradition-a slumber party filled with laughter, makeovers, and shared memories-becomes the setting for profound revelations as they confront untouched, emotional truths. This production amplifies the voices of African American women as they reflect on the traumatic experiences of their childhood, revealing how these challenges have shaped their identities as adults, while also bringing to light their feelings of being unsupported and judged within various communities,including their own. Through this powerful portrayal, we aim to create a space for bold, candid dialogue that promotes mental resilience, solidarity, and renewal.
